Nick Brickner graduated from UC Berkeley with a B.S. in Nuclear Engineering. His research interests are in radiation detection, applied nuclear physics, and radiation biophysics. His current work includes computational and dosimetric analysis in support of research on the effects of ionizing radiation at the Berkeley West Biocenter. In addition, he provides experimental support in neutron beam and detector development at the 88-Inch Cyclotron at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Brickner's future goals include earning a Ph.D in Nuclear Engineering or Health Physics and continuing outreach efforts to educate the public about nuclear energy and its benefits to society.
